Dear friends, relatives

This site hasn't been updated for a while. The reason is partly due to our involvement in Ethiopia.
Titti and I were invited in 2007 by a colleague of mine, Samuel Assafa who, after his retirement, had moved back to his country of birth. He had settled in Bahir Dar in the north part of the country. Bahir Dar is located at the source of the Nile, Lake Tana. He had an ambition to open an oral and maxillo-facial clinic. The visit led us to start thinking about what we could contribute to. To begin with, we collected medical equipment that we sent to him. Titti looked for possible projects at her university in Kalmar where she worked..

2010 Titti and I whent to Ethiopia, Bahir Dar. Titti worked at the university as a professor in Journalism as part of an exchange project she started with her University. Teachers from Bahir Dar university came to teach at Linnaeus University in Kalmar  and teachers from Kalmar went to Bahir Dar.

We have after this time - in longer periods - worked and set up different projects. In 2015 we both were employed on regular basis at Bahir Dar University. Titti at the Faculty of Humanities, Journalism and Communication and Hans at the Faculty of Medicine as Medical Director, responsible for planning the set up and organsiation of the new university hospital. For a long time we rented a house in the center of Bahir Dar.
Recently we have not been able to travel to Ethiopia due to the ongoing unrest. We both are longing to seeing all our acquaintances and friends in Bahir Dar.
