Daretorp is the parich where our ancestors lived for at least 250 years
I was invited to participate and display an exhibition on our "tribe" mother Maria Kristina Modig localy called Mockle-Maje-Stine.
From the program:
Culture and Distrikt day Saturday 6 August at 14 - 20, The pair hous / Culture barn.
Past and present in Dattorp, an exciting day with lots of program elements for all ages.
Some examples: Ecumenical music events on the Mission Church, the Swedish Church, the Salvation Army and Tidaholms Gospel Choir, Carina's Line Dancers. Artists on stage every hour. Find your roots through Tidaholms Genealogical Society. Exhibition on tailor family Pettersson Törestorp. Exhibition of old hunting guns from the district. Older school and Confirmation pictures from our area, help us identify people. Quiz walk. Demonstration of the older machines as threshers and spokeshave mm. Display of plant dyeing. Tidaholms motor club show vehicles from different racing classes. Exotic four-legged visitors from the rectory house. Drinking backs stacking of the daredevil. Axe throwing. Lotteries. Flea market. BBQ Catering and refreshments.
In addition, the involvement of various local businesses / organizations, etc., etc.

Maria Kristina Modig 1815-1897 also called Mockle-Maje-Stine by the local people. The name is from the smal cottage she lived in.
The arangment and hospitality is great and they invite us relatives to join whenever we choose to come.
